Tourism in Scotland
Scotland attracts thousands of tourists by the beauty and the colorful one of
its landscape and by its historical and architectonic wealth. In Scotland the
traveller can visit: the High Earth (Highlands) - with its imposing mountainous
landscape and a gorgeous sprinkled coast of colorful fishing towns, region in
which is the Ness lake (Loch Ness) and its famous " monstruo" (Loch Ness Monster
or Nessie), the island of Skye (Isle of Skye) - with the Gardens of the Castle
of Armadale (Armadale Castle Gardens) and the Museum of the Islands (Museum of
the Isles) -, the Castle of Dunrobin (Dunrobin Castle, Golspie), the Castle of
Urquhart (Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness), and the Funicular Railroad of Monte
Cairngorm (Cairngorm Funicular Mountain Railway); the region of Royal Deeside,
near the city of Aberdeen, with its most beautiful castles - between which the
one of Balmoral stands out, calls to account summery of the queen, in the Route
of the Castles (Castle Trail) -, the imposing panoramic views that offer their
coasts, the Grampianos mounts (Grampian Mountains), and the whiskey distilleries
of Malta (whiskey) located on the Spey river (River Spey); the Lagos of the
county of Perth (Perthshire), very appreciated by the lovers of the fishing; the
fishing villages of the regions of Angus and Dundee, surrounded by wooded
mounts; the region the center-west of the country, with its beautiful landscapes
of forests, cliffs and Lagos, in which the Castle of Stirling (Stirling Castle),
the Lomond lake (Loch Lomond or Loch Laomainn) and the Forest Park Queen
Elizabeth stand out (Queen Elizabeth Forest Park); the islands of Iona and Mull
(Isle of Mull and Iona); the city of Glasgow (in gaélico, Glaschu; colloquially,
Glesca), with its commercial centers and their museums; the small locality of
New Lanark, located in the valley of the Clyde (Clyde Valley), not very far from
Glasgow; the city of Edinburgh (Edinburgh; in gaélico, Dùn Èideann), with its
old helmet, its castle (Edinburgh Castle), its commercial centers, their
hundreds of pubs, their famous festivales and their museums; and the abbeys and
castles of the region of the Borders (Borders Region), in the border with
England (England), a paradise for the lovers of the cycling and the senderismo.
The tourist can visit, in addition, thus called " Exteriores" islands; (The
Outer Islands): the Shetland, a paradise for the lovers of the marine birds; the
Orkneys (Orkney), with its rest of the Age of Stone and the vikingos; and the
Hébridas Outer (Outer Hebrides or The Western Isles), central place of the
